VK8單克隆抗體能與人MUC16（也稱(chēng)為CA125）反應(yīng)。MUC16是一種大的跨膜糖蛋白，主要在各種組織的上皮細(xì)胞表面表達(dá)。MUC16是診斷卵巢癌癥的腫瘤標(biāo)志物，具有臨床意義。MUC16也已被證明在細(xì)胞粘附、免疫調(diào)節(jié)和眼表面保護(hù)中發(fā)揮作用。由于MUC16結(jié)構(gòu)復(fù)雜，功能多樣，它是癌癥生物學(xué)和免疫學(xué)的熱門(mén)研究靶點(diǎn)。
